In 1985, Bon Jovi were far from being the rock superstars we know them as today. The band had toured in support of the Scorpions, Kiss, and Ratt, and achieved moderate success with their first two albums, with their sophomore offering 7800° Fahrenheit reaching #37 on the Billboard Top 200 album charts.

With the release of the album Slippery When Wet in August of 1986, they became megastars in their own right. The second single off Slippery When WetLivin on a Prayerbecame their anthem, but You Give Love a Bad Name was the bands first number one hit, topping the Billboard Hot 100 on November 29^th 1986. Slippery When Wet went on to sell 25 million copies worldwide after spending eight weeks in the number one spot of the Billboard Top 200.

So what changed? Its no accident that two of the bands three hit singles were written with songwriter Desmond Child. Child also wrote Bonnie Tylers 1986 single If You Were a Woman (And I Was a Man), which bears a striking similarity to the chorus of You Give Love a Bad Name:

Tylerss single only charted at number 77. Disappointed with its lack of success, Child reworked the song into the Bon Jovi hit we all know and love.

Since it was good enough to be released twice over the course of two months, lets take a closer look at that chorus. None of our chords have a third to give them any major or minor character, but its pretty clear they all being drawn from the key of C minor, so lets assign them their appropriate Roman numerals.

C minor serves as the home from which we travel to all of these other power chords. The III to i movement is strong enough for C to feel like the tonic, but what is it that really drives this chorus forward? To answer this well need to take a look at the bass part as played by Alec John Such.

As with many other Bon Jovi songs, it is the bass part that propels the listener along on their journey. While the bass largely follows the guitar, it notably deviates underneath the sustained C5 chord. After the bass hits the low C, Alec jumps up to his high string and plays Bb, B and C. This introduction of the note Bthe leading tone in the key of C has an extremely strong pull towards C. It goes by quickly, but when that B resolves to C, for that brief moment, all is right with the world.

Theres a valuable lesson to be learned here. If you write a song and it fails to chart as high as you had hoped, just take a trip to New Jersey to some guitarists moms basement and try again. And dont forget to ask your friendly bass player to help resolve your harmonies.

I've been wondering for some time now, why some heroes are cheaper than others? I mean, it's not only by a few wildcards, for example, Gazal, a hero from the Academy is priced at 24 wildcards, while Hakeem is only 8?

Is it because she's newer? Better?

Ubisoft, I would suggest that you die down the amount and type of collectibles within the AC games, because with such buggy games as of late it only takes just 1 bugged collectible to screw you over 100% completion. I was worried the whole time when collecting anything in Unity, because that game takes so long to complete for 99% completion and I think I would have snapped Unity in half if a collectible did bug. Also, get rid of the need to use external applications to achieve 100% completion, because I should be able to complete 100% of the game without the need to connect to anything.

[PC] SALEEN S7 Level 40 Racing Tuned slower than standard

When you tune the Saleen S7 to the Racing class it becomes slower than the Standard model is. At the Boneville Salt Flats i get about 397 KM/H with the Standard Saleen S7 , and with the Racing tuned one barely 350KM/H. I tuned it to Racing Level 40.

Would be nice if it would be fixed with the next Patch.

Hi,

MMDOC music is cool, but the one and only piece of music in the game gets old really fast. Why not adding other thunes, especially musics from the previous titles of the M&M franchise (of course I think about heroes)? Not only those musics are fantastic, but they would fit the game very well and would not cost anything as they already exist and Ubisoft has (or I think) the rights to use them.

I know you can cut the game music and listen to your own music, but if you go that way all games could be released without music and you could go listen to whatever OST or song you like on youtube while playing (even the game OST that could be released only on youtube).

This could perhaps be problematic for mobile versions though, as the game would be bigger in disk size.

I mean this could be really appealing for new players, especially those not knowing the old HOMM titles (and hence their musics).

[PS4] Unity, unable to play Sequence 7 server bridge

Because i can't get a hold of Ubisoft support, i think it's time i post this on the forums..

To complete sequence 7 you need to complete the final mission, the server bridge.
My problem is that there is no objective set on the map for me.
I was completing the confrontation with Bellec in sequence 7 and afterwards you need to jump in a certain spot for the server bridge mission to load.
But whilst it was loading, i either shut off my ps4, or joined a co-op mission (either one of them, can't exactly remember)
So now whenever i load up Unity, i'm in the normal map and not in the server bridge mission!
There is no objective on the map for me to go to and i've no idea what to do.
I've looked at some forum posts online and nobody seems to have the answer.

I recently created a club and obviously, I am the leader of the club. My club has been doing well in the club competition this week, and I've put many hours into it. So yesterday, the only thing I did differently is that I played the DEAD KINGS DLC, and during the DLC missions, I checked on my club competition to see how we are doing ---And to my surprise, I find that I am no longer in my club--I was moved to a club that I had applied to last week. So I quit the DLC, hoping it was just a glitch. I returned to the normal game of Paris, and I even restarted the game itself. But when I checked my Brotherhood, I was still in that alternate club! So I quit that club I was placed into, and then searched for my own club, and found it, and applied to it. I noticed the leader was no longer me, but instead the person who had first joined my club (who I had promoted as well). I sent a message to this member of my club to accept my request for invitation, which he has, and I am now back in my own club--however, I am still not the leader. So I've messaged this member again to promote me and make me the leader of my own club again. (And I'm still waiting, haven't heard back.) But this is so crazy!! Has this happened to anyone else? And Ubisoft, is there a known issue about this? I've put up with so many bugs in AC, and I think this is the last one I'm willing to deal with. I think I may quit the AC franchise altogether. I've supported Ubisoft for many years, but this kind of stuff is uncalled for.

I bought the speed pack earlier....expecting...well you know..the cars that are in the speed pack. Instead i got.......Nothing
Thanks alot Ubisoft for one again acting like ****s and stealing our money then not giving a **** about the people giving you money.
Also make it clear on how to contact for help.
after looking for about 20 mins i couldnt find a support email or a support phone number or anything. The only way to get help is by other people helping. So you get people to buy your ****ty broken games then pay for ****ty invisible cars then when people complain you make it so that no one can actually contact you. Well done alot of planning must have gone into this scheme to rip everyone off. Wont be buying anything even vaguely Ubisoft related now on. Hope this company falls apart.

After "fixing" the infinite loading screen bug it is still there.I like this game very much but why you publish a game that isn't running good for everyone. I want that you (Ubisoft) prove me that this game wasn't a bad buy. And if it won't work again , who gives me my money back ?
I payed for this game 95€ (70€ game , 25€ season pass). This is a lot of money. I hope it wasn't wasted.

Why you changed the handling in Aston Martin Zagato V12 and Ferrari 458 Speciale?
So far i havent seen people complaining in the handling of those cars.
Those two were my favourites cars.

Soooo...
I bought the Z4 Circuit, took it to Little Eagle and after reaching approx. 300km/h the body starts scratching the road on corners. Not slowing down the car, but extremely irritiating.
Skyline in other hand is great, but it has EXTREME nitrous wheelspin. Seriously, if you hit it at like 250km/h the wheels start spinning like mad, car will oversteer but you'll accelerate only little bit better, you're actually faster without using it. (tested both on HC and full assist)
