Looks like there is a community of devoted EndWar fans,
devastated by shelving of EndWar II and crushed by EndWar (1) severs going down,
people like myself, who, if they could only play one game for the rest of their lives, would play EndWar.
What if there was a way to convince Ubisoft to bring back the EndWar (1) servers,
and reconsider development of a sequel.
I emailed Kickstarter today with a question if one can start a Kickstarter project to raise money for such a cause.
(Gamers chip in for the game to be developed by Ubisoft).
I don't exactly crap money, but I would be happy to contribute a $100, and then pay another $60 for the game when it releases.
According to VGChartz, one million people bought EndWar (1) in the US for all the different consoles.
If half of them chipped in $5 for the development of the sequel, we would collect $2.5 million.
To be honest with you I would be happy with just a set of new maps for the old game.
To be honest with you I would pay for only the servers coming back up for the old game.
I don't think I have much leverage here, but perhaps someone with some leverage will read this email.
Maybe someone at Ubisoft is bold enough to launch such an initiative.
If it was advertised through Ubisoft's channels, I am sure hardcore EndWar fans would swarm Kickstarter to chip in.
