Is buying "the Box" still the best thing for a new player? What is best to get?

I started yesterday, I got some packs and changed deck a little but feel weak still. Need some more cards to compete better in PVE and PVP.

I have 1375 seals, should I spend 1000 to get "the box" or 1200 seals to get "void rising box" ??

Or should I save all seals and just buy "emilio packs" or other packs that use GOLD?

I don't want to mess up and then be weak for a long time, just looking for good advice, thanks.
