Far cry 3 borderless fps going above 60

Hi, first post and could not find answers anywhere.

Is there a way to add a cap to far cry 3's frame rate when running on borderless? I hit above 60fps on borderless but my monitor's refresh rate is only 60.


my specs:
alienware m15x
ati 6990m
intel 740qm
6gb ram
1600x900 resolution.

The problem is with too much rendered frames, I hit 90C on my temps. Do note that this question is for BORDERLESS. if I run on full screen, I cap at 60 but I prefer borderless anyday.
