It's been pretty much confirmed the game will utilise grid-based movement like pre-"Might&Magic 6" games in the series.
What I've been wondering - will the camera be "locked" to the 90 degree movement scheme, or will it be possible to look around freely, like in pretty recently released Legend of Grimrock (holding down the right mouse button), the feature can be seen in action here, for example:

One could call this a neat gimmick, but it really increased the immersion factor and if the game is in 3D, it'd be great to take advantage of it.
