today I bought the digital version of Far Cry 3, I played 2 hours of it then it shutdown my PS3 with blinking red light. I tried again and I played for 1 hour and shutdown. Lastly I decided to rest my PS3 for a couple of hours then clean the exterior, when I try to boot Far Cry 3 it shutdown before it loads the main menu, this problem ONLY occurs in Far Cry 3, other games such as AC3 seems to work flawlessly. I did some research and it seems this happens to many people for the PS3 and PC, but no solutions is found. Any suggestions on what could cause this?
I have already downloaded and installed the game twice today but no improvement. All the crash occurred very early in the game, the first crash happened when finding ingredients for crafting, the second crash occurred after taking out the first outpost. the third crash occurred when doing your first "Wanted Dead" mission near the 1st outpost, another crash occurred when booting the game before it even loads the main menu, the latest crash I experienced today is when I reinstalled the game and played through the prologue, it crashed during a cutscene! This is becoming very annoying and been waiting the whole day to play this properly, you know how slow PSN download speed are?!
All my other games both disc and digital are working 100% fine. I ONLY experienced this problem with this game.] I am getting more furious for every hour this is not fixed as I have been waiting for this game to come out on PS+ Instant Game Collection since its announcement last week.
*What I mean by "crash" is the PS3 literally shutdown and beeps with blinking red light, and no this is not YLOD and don't say it needs ventilation because I tried placing the PS3 vertical on the floor in an air-condition room with an electric fan blasting cold air behind it. I even when further and clean the dust with a vacuum cleaner, as you can see I really want to play this game.
Any tips would be appreciated!
