I am restarting.
Main reason: I drank pots like they were cotton candy :(
Secondary reasons:
- I want to create my own party (did that, seems that party is just like the one given to me)
- I need to be more aware of sales and purchases. Restocks, don't seem to happen.
- Now I know my way around town and it's outer area, I think I can get through to where I am at, very quickly.
- Need to see if I like the game, or not. That first play through was a bit.....mediocre :/
- It's been a week. Gonna try to marathon this game over Sunday-Monday.
- Gonna use a notepad and write down thoughts on gameplay and email it in.
Things I would like to see in game, after a quick playthrough:
1. Names of Sites on mini-map, after I visit them - or the option to do this myself.
2. Sense of turnover, in shops.
3. A way of knowing if I have done all quests in an area
4. Character pics, should be animated. React to what is going on. :( ( I know it's prob a bit too late for that kind of project. Maybe, DLC or MOD it)
5. Movement usage on minimap, point/click to move there auto-pilot.
6. Vocal greetings from NPC's when I enter a room
7. Better endings to combat, victory music? Cheering from party?
8. More character voice overs, humor and atmosphere please.
9. Multiplayer, split party into two, and have friend play two characters online, with one Hireling each.
10. Retreat option. Sometimes I just wanna run away. :(
11. Better Save system. Renaming with timestamp visually seen?
12. Visuals when opening chests, characters hands throwing open the chest.
13. Hirelings voice overs or at least cut-ins, where they give an opinion on combat or the situation. Right now, I almost forget I have followers. Do they give a bonus? I can't tell
14. Click movement. Use a hotkey to turn on Grid, which will show the Grid square that the mouse is over, and left clicking highlighted grid moves party there. PLEASE
I know some of this is way too late to add or even consider. But, I don't think this game is epic as it should be. I like the throw back, but literally, it is entirely a throwback for me right now. Unsure if intentional (read forums, and it seems opinions varied), but I like it. I now will play more cautiously in my combat choices, when and where, and mana watch. I don't hate the game, fun to be playing it, but it isn't something I am going to brag about :(. Which is BAD for MMX sales. You want players to brag about playing it, at least I would think you would. So more cleavage.
