Many thanks for making old school game in the m&m setting. In russian topic we have creatad following wish-list. All those who wrote our topic agreed with it.
0. One of the key components of success of m&m - a qualitative change in the constant skills and spells, when party member who possesses them, has reached new class in this skill. Changes or principle of the spell, or its coverage (works on all enemies / the whole party, weapons can be permanently enchanted, skill owner can enchant armor, etc.). As a result, a player always sees mini-goals, and the interest in the gameplay increases. It would be fine to remove the percentages (this is valid only for the roguelike games) and come up with a qualitative change.
1. Offensive spells should be varied on the area of application - a single monster, a cone, a beam, an area.
2 It would be nice make several promotions branches for each class (as in MM9, promotion system, IMHO, there is great).
3. Skill, which not taken during character generation, but available for him, should be studied with special teacher.
4. Party member should be able to spend his own turn out to use the item (for example, a portion) to another party member.
