So for Charlie's missions I mostly just played them to play them or to complete challenges and earn cash without having to hop into a campaign mission. Lot easier to get x amount of KOs or kills when it's wave after wave than in a campaign mission IMO. I also played them to unlock the armor. To me...there's barely any story to them. Loosely tied together by way of Charlie's "friends" leaving "deaddrops" at a series of embassies that somehow "help" 4E in their fight against the Engineers. Okay. Other than that... missions literally involve taking everyone out until wave 5 where you can extract or unrealistically continue the fight for an even longer amount of time. Sure..
But Kobin's mission while still only loosely story based felt more substantial. I'm wondering if Grim's missions are more connected or not.
For instance... I was thinking of playing Hawkins Seafort because the cutscene shows that a lot of data is going through it. I then saw the Abandoned Mill cinematic and that shows a bunch of sleeper cells awakening in London. So what makes more sense IYO? That Sam heads to the Seafort, hack the computers, extracts, and then I loosely pretend the data he got from the Seafort is what helps us realize the sleeper cells are activating and then play Abandoned Mill? OR does it make more sense to play Abandoned Mill first where the sleeper cells first reactivate and then play the Seafort and loosely pretend the enemies on the seafort are part of the sleeper cells?
WITHOUT spoilers... can you say which one you think makes more sense? I feel like... there's a chance that Sam defeats the sleeper cells or something and then they mention it and then I couldn't pretend the sleeper cells are at the seafort but idk. This is an odd question I know, just curious. I'm spreading out my enjoyment as much as I can so I'm not going to just play all of Grim's missions or all of Kobin's missions so if there's a way to tie it to the story.. I'd like to.
