Splinter Cell Conviction launch error

Hi,

So i pre-ordered Blacklist on steam and got Conviction for free. I downloaded it, and launched it. But then all of the sudden Uplay pops up, updates, and tries to launch my game itself. Then i get this:
Steam Error

Application load error 5:0000065434

Now this really pisses me off.
Why in the HELL does Uplay interfere with my steam? Why cant steam just do its thing. If Uplay has to be a **** and take the work, why doesnt it do it properly?

Anyway(sorry Ubisoft really went downhill lately), how do i fix this?
