Does the game still suffer from "out of sync" in multiplayer?

As the title says, this is the make or break deal if I am to buy the expansion or not, because I was unable to play the game with my friends in the first place due to the out of sync issue.

I can't find any support tickets about the issue anymore, so I take it they have mostly been resolved, or am I just not looking well enough?
