Preventing uPlay games from accessing Steam client

Hello, all.

I already owned the Batman games on Steam, but repurchased them on uPlay due to my Steam activations getting used up and SecuRom being a royal pain in the a$$ to work with! I had no idea that when you uninstalled the game, it did NOT reset 1 activation. Through the years I used them up.

So, I bought new copies on uPlay expecting to be able to play them on uPlay.

Guess what? They open the Steam client and I still cannot play?

Is there anyway to prevent uPlay games from opening up the steam client and playing them through uPlay?
