Problems with dropping (EVO rank)

Hello guys.
I read on this forum that it's possible to cross 501 EVO barrier and drop below.
I lost like 10 times having 501 rank and dropped to 500.
Later I lost about 30 times and my rank is still 500...
Why is that ?
So is it possible to drop or not ?
