Will there be split-screen online multiplayer?

I play split screen with my brother. Co op is going to be awesome but I was wondering if we'll be able to split screen in online multiplayer. Like how Uncharted 3 and Motorstorm Apocalypse did it. It might not work in all modes, but SvM Classic would be so much fun if it had that option.

Any news on this? Or even a possibility?
